Program aims
The Bachelor of Education (Primary) Graduate Entry is a two-year, full-time on-campus program designed to prepare students for employment typically as teachers in primary schools.

Program objectives
The Bachelor of Education (Primary) Graduate Entry seeks to prepare graduates to:
-
develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the changing nature of Primary education and the impact these changes will demand of beginning teaching in skills, content knowledge and attitude
-
develop a knowledge and understanding of current 1-10 syllabi requirements
-
develop an awareness of the role of significant non-employer bodies such as the Queensland College of Teachers (formerly the Board of Teacher Registration, Queensland), Queensland Studies Authority and Queensland Teachers' Union.
Underlying these objectives is the important principle that teacher education is a continuing process embracing both pre-service and in-service education. Accordingly, graduates of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) Graduate Entry program will be competent beginning teachers able to assume a continuing responsibility for their own professional and career development.

Admission requirements
Students holding a recognised, relevant three or four-year degree or equivalent are eligible for graduate entry to the Bachelor of Education (Primary).

Program fees
Commonwealth supported place
A Commonwealth supported place is where the Australian Government makes a contribution towards the cost of your higher education and you as a student pay a student contribution amount, which varies depending on the courses undertaken. You are able to calculate the fees for a particular course via the Course Fee Finder.
Commonwealth Supported students may be eligible to defer their fees through a Government loan called HECS-HELP.
