Program focus
This program provides experience in a wide range of roles and
procedures involved with editing and publishing for print and electronic
delivery of publications. Topics of study include: Editing Practice,
Proofreading and Writing for Editors. Coursework in the Graduate Certificate
can be credited towards the Graduate Diploma of Editing and Publishing.

Program aims
The program aims to produce graduates who have developed:

a high degree of knowledge about the theoretical, legal and
ethical aspects of professional editing and publishing

practical knowledge and skills in key areas of professional
editing and publishing.

Program objectives
On successful completion of the program, students will demonstrate
a fundamental knowledge of:

The Graduate Certificate focuses on editing and publishing in
the print or text medium and includes activities associated with online
publication.

Program structure
The Graduate Certificate in Editing and Publishing consists
of the four units that comprise the four core courses in Level 1 of
the Graduate Diploma of Editing and Publishing. There are no elective
courses.

Required time limits
Students have a maximum of 2 years to complete this program.
