Program focus
This program requires four years of full-time study or up to
nine years of part-time or distance education study. Students will
complete one major from the Bachelor of Arts, the relevant requirements
of the Bachelor of Commerce, one minor from the Faculty of Arts and
three electives.
Career opportunities
This combined degree broadens the range of students’ knowledge
and skills and therefore enhances their appeal to prospective employers
in the public and private sectors. Financial reporter, international
trade, international banking & finance, secondary school teacher
(with further study).

Program fees
Student contribution amount
For domestic students who are offered Commonwealth supported
places, the Government pays some money directly to the University,
but students are also required to make a contribution. This contribution
is called the ‘student contribution’. For more information
about student contribution amounts, including the calculation of fees
for a particular program of study, refer to USQ fees.
Tuition fee
Domestic fee-paying places are funded entirely through the tuition/direct
fees paid by the student. Tuition/direct fees vary depending on the
courses that are taken. For more information about Tuition Fees, including

International fees
International students pay tuition fees. For details about international
student fees, refer to the International Fee Schedule provided by USQ International.

Program structure
The program comprises 32 units as follows:

Note: Entry into the Visual Arts Practice major is subject
to an interview and submission of an acceptable folio during Orientation
week.

Students have a maximum of 9 years to complete this program.

Arts studies
The Arts component shall comprise:

at least one seven course discipline based major from the majors
available under the Bachelor of Arts with
at least two units at third year level
-
a four course minor study chosen from the majors and minors
available in the Faculty of Arts

three courses of electives from the Faculty of Arts, preferably
selected from the major or minor study.
Commerce studies
The commerce component will comprise eight units from the Accounting,
Business Law, Economics, Finance or General Commerce majors.

Note for continuing students
The program structure has been modified from 33 courses to 32
courses with a reduced weighting on the Commerce major and an increased
weighting on the Arts component. Students may elect to follow either
pattern subject to approval of the Program Head, Faculty of Arts.
