Conditions of employment
Employment terms and conditions
Terms and conditions of employment at the University are currently governed by the provisions of the USQ Enterprise Agreement 2010-2013 inclusive of competitive salary rates for both academic and professional employees. The University's Staff Consultative Committee is the forum for discussion and consultation in relation to the implementation of the Enterprise Agreement and other employment related matters.
Working environment
The University offers a variety of employment categories and flexible working arrangements, including a rostered day off scheme for employees where available. USQ ensures that position classification levels are appropriate through formal job evaluation processes and methods.
One of the University's initiatives for building employee and organisational capability and capacity is the functional job stream framework which identifies each professional staff position at the University as belonging to a specified job function and stream with clearly defined knowledge, skills and abilities.
Concerns, complaints and disclosures
Employees are provided with a number of mechanisms to raise concerns or complaints, or to make disclosures. All issues will be managed in accordance with the provisions of relevant policies and procedures.
