Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officer Nomination Information
In accordance with the University's Anti-Discrimination and Freedom from Harassment Policy, Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officers (HDCOs) are appointed by the Vice-Chancellor to provide options to both employees and students for resolving any form of discrimination and harassment. The role of HDCO is voluntary and appointments are for up to three years.
HDCOs provide a valuable contribution to the University in ensuring that individuals are able to make an informed choice about further action.
The University may decide to conduct a recruitment process for additional Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officers at various times throughout the year. Employees will be informed when this Expression of Interest process occurs.
Nominees are asked to nominate as a Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officer by completing the Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officer nomination/re-nomination form (DOC 100kb). These forms are to be marked ‘Private Application’ and returned to:

It is mandatory that you discuss your interest in this role with your supervisor and provide them with a copy of the Harassment and Discrimination Contact Officer Profile, which can be found on the nomination/re-nomination form. You will require the support of your supervisor to attend training and to act in the role when called upon.
The Staff Equity and Diversity team, within the Human Resources Department, provides confidential support, current information, education programs, networking and assistance to HDCOs.
