Templates, forms and other documentation

Human Resources has developed the Recruitment and Selection Handbook as a guide for Faculties and Departments when recruiting to fill vacant positions.  Examples of job advertisements (DOC 54kb) as well as templates for position descriptions and duty statements are available which reflect the University's functional job stream framework.  To initiate a recruitment campaign, the appropriate forms and other documentation will need to be completed and forwarded to Human Resources in accordance with the schedule of advertising dates.   

Training

Before participating on a selection panel, policy requires that USQ employees must be trained in USQ Recruitment and Selection Skills.  A list of all employees who have undertaken this training is maintained by Human Resources.

Other recruitment services

Advice on a number of recruitment issues including the use of external recruitment agencies, casual staffing, vacancy advertising on the Unijob and SEEK websites, and immigration is part of the service provided by the Recruitment team in Human Resources.
