Sample interview plans

The time taken in interviews can vary greatly. Many consultants will insist that anything less than two to three hours is inadequate for in-depth selection interviewing and is unlikely to provide sufficient information on which to base an informed decision.

Currently, common practice within the University is to rely on a single panel interview of approximately 30 minutes duration.

As the length and detail of interviews may vary, various sample interview guides are included. Some would require more than one and a half hours to complete. Others could be covered in less than 30 minutes.
