15. Chemical Weapons Convention
15.1 Chemical Weapons (Prohibition) Act 1994
The University must abide by the Chemical Weapons (Prohibition) Act 1994. A permit will be required under the Act for any activity in which Schedule 1 chemicals are likely to be produced, acquired, retained, used or transferred during a calendar year.
A license is also required under Customs regulations to import or export any Schedule 1 chemical (including mixtures containing such chemicals).
