Manager (IP Transfer)

The Manager (IP Transfer) is responsible for the transfer of University generated intellectual property to the private sector in support of USQ’s research and commercialisation objectives. The incumbent is responsible for developing linkages with industry, government, funding sources and private investors.
Appointment is available on a two year full-time fixed term basis.
Active involvement with USQ Academic staff and research centres is a key component of the position. Experience in patent management and/ or contract law would be regarded as advantageous, as would a business development background.
Applicants should have a relevant degree with experience in a commercial environment. Highly developed negotiation and communication skills are essential.
