Who is it for?

The courses offered by Organisational Development aim to provide all USQ staff with opportunities to participate in appropriate developmental programmes in order to increase their skills, broaden their experience and enhance their future career opportunities.  (Human Resources Policy and Procedure Learning and Development)

Most courses are offered on-campus in Toowoomba only, however employees at the Fraser Coast and Springfield Campuses are encouraged to speak with their supervisor regarding attendance in the first instance.  Human Resources will assess the viability of requests to conduct training on either campus on a case by case basis.  For further details contact Rachael Millett.

How to register for a workshop

Registration is online through the VTME professional development site* either by an individual employee or by a manager/supervisor on behalf of their employees.  First time users should refer to information on how to access course information and register their participation. 

* Access requires a UConnect username and password.

Cost

Unless stipulated all programs are available to USQ employees at no cost, under full sponsorship by Human Resources and the Vice-Chancellor.

Cancellations

Please be advised that a $50 'no-show' fee will apply where a registered participant withdraws without notice from sessions which are facilitated by external presenters. Many sessions have waiting lists and those on wait lists need to be contacted, and occasionally a session may be made unviable by late cancellations - as this may incur presenter's costs the 'no show ' fee is necessary. Forty-eight (48) hours notice of withdrawal is required except in exceptional circumstances.

If your workgroup is interested in any of these courses and would like to undertake any program as a unit then please discuss this possibility with Rachael Millett.  This will ensure a date and time that meets your needs.  Minimum participant numbers apply.  Courses particularly suited to this format include Working as a Team.
