Student Computing Labs (General and Specialised)

Description

Provides support to the computing labs which Includes the computing environment (PC, Laptop, Macintosh, Linux/Unix) and the Standard Operating Environment (software images) installed on computers located within general purpose and specialist laboratories connected to the USQ data network.

Specialised labs, however, may still have Faculty specific or other cost centre specific applications which would need to be serviced over and above the core base components.

Availability

Technical support is available Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

How to obtain
this Service

Support requests can be logged with the ICT Service Desk at any time or by phone (extn 1900) during working hours.  The ICT Service Desk is located in E Block at the Toowoomba Campus.

Alternatively you can log a support request online through ICT Self Service where you can view all issues and their associated histories, logged in your name.

Our Service Guarantee
  • Calls logged during working hours will be allocated a priority according to our impact/urgency matrix.
  • Calls logged out of hours will be dealt with by the Service Desk staff on the next business day.
  • Student computing lab images are updated in consultation with USQ staff and applied twice yearly.
