Abbreviated Dialling

There are two types of abbreviated dialling that can be used on-campus:

• System Abbreviated Dailling; and
• Extension Abbreviated Dialling.

System Abbreviated Dialling

To use the System Speed Dial numbers:

1. Pick up the handset.
2. Dial 7 then the three digit code listed in the phone book.
3. The PABX will then automatically dial the number. 

Extension Abbreviated Dialling

You can program up to ten additional personal numbers into your extension which are stored on the PABX and are assigned to that extension number. That is the numbers are not stored in the telephone but on the system and are only available to that extension number.

To programme in a number:

1. Pick up your handset and listen for the dial tone.
2. Press # # 3.
3. Select a directory location number (0-9).
4. Dial 0.
5. Dial the phone number that you wish to save.
6. Replace the handset.

To access a saved number:

1. Pick up your handset and listen for the dial tone.
2. Press # 3.
3. Press the directory location number.
