Diverting Calls

All Calls Diversion

To set the diversion:

  1. Pick up your handset and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press # 9.
  3. Dial the extension number that you want calls diverted to.
  4. You will hear a high pitched beep indicating that the diversion was successfully set.

To cancel the diversion from your own phone:

  1. Pick up your handset and listen for the dial tone.You will hear an interrupted tone indicating that you have a diversion set.
  2. Dial # # 9. You will hear a high pitched tone indicating that the diversion has been successfully removed.
  3. Replace the handset.

To cancel from the forwarded extension:

  1. Pick up the forwarded extension.
  2. Dial # 9 *.
  3. Dial your extension number. You will hear a high pitched tone indicating that the diversion has been successfully removed.
  4. Replace the handset.

Divert Busy

To set a diversion if your extension is busy:

  1. Pick up the handset and listen for the dial tone.
  2. Press # 0 #.
  3. Dial the extension number that you want your calls to divert to. You will hear a high pitched beep indicating that the diversion was successfully set.
  4. Replace the handset.

To remove the diversion:

  1. Pick up the handset and listen for the dial tone. You will hear an interrupted tone indicating that you have a diversion set.
  2. Press # # 0 #. You will hear a high pitched beep indicating that the diversion was successfully cancelled.
  3. Replace the handset. 

Divert Ring No Reply

To divert your calls if you do not answer within 15 seconds:

  1. Pick up the handset and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press # 0 *.
  3. Dial the number of the extension that you wish to divert to. You will hear a high pitched beep indicating that the diversion was successfully set.
  4. Replace the handset.

To remove the diversion:

  1. Pick up the handset and listen for the dial tone. You will hear an interrupted tone indicating that you have a diversion set.
  2. Press # # 0 *. You will hear a high pitched beep indicating that the diversion was successfully cancelled.
  3. Replace the handset.

Pull Diversion

Note: If this facility is required for an extension, it must be enabled by placing a Work Request with the ICT Service Desk.

Pull Diversion is a special diversion which allows calls to be diverted to the user at their current location. The diversion is set from the extension where they are currently located; not from their usual location. 

To divert calls from extension A to extension B from extension B:

  1. Lift extension B handpiece and dial * # 92.
  2. Dial the extension number of extension A.
  3. Press *(four digit PIN)#. A high pitched tone will be heard to indicate that the diversion was successfully set.
  4. Replace the handset.

For example, to set a diversion from extension 1234 to extension 2468, pick up the handpiece from 2468 and dial *#921234*0000# and hang up. Note 0000 is the PIN. The PIN is required to protect against a diversion being set up inadvertently from the wrong extension.

To cancel the diversion from extension A:

  1. Lift Handset.
  2. Press ##9. A high pitched tone will be heard to indicate that the diversion was removed.
  3. Hang up.

To Cancel the diversion from any other extension:

  1. Lift Handset.
  2. Press # * 92.
  3. Dial the extension number of extension A.
  4. Dial *(four digit PIN)#. A high pitched tone will be heard to indicate that the diversion was removed.
  5. Replace the handset.
