Transferring Calls
There are several methods of transferring calls:
Transferring Calls to Another Extension

Advise your caller that you are going to transfer the call to another extension.

Press recall (or Flash on the older NEC phones).

Dial the required extension number.

When the extension answers announce your caller and hang up.
Camp-on/ Busy (Call Back)

If the called extension is busy, press the recall button (or flash on NEC phones).

Press #1.

A high pitched tone will be heard indicating that the call back has been successfully set.
To cancel Call Back

Pick up handset and listen for dial tone.

Press # #1.

A high pitched tone will be heard indicating that the call back has been successfully removed.
Camp-on/ Ring No Reply
If the called extension does not answer you can set a call back to ring your extension the next time the called extension is used.

While making a call to the unanswered extension press recall (or Flash on the older NEC phones).

Press #1.

A high pitched tone will be heard indicating that the call back is successfully set.

Your extension will ring (one long two second ring) the next time the called extension is used.

Pick up the hand piece and the call will be placed.
Wait on Busy
If you make a call to a busy extension, you can wait on hold until the extension is free. The called extension will receive a warning beep to indicate that there is a call waiting.

When you receive an engaged tone press the recall key (or Flash on the older NEC phones).

Press * *6.

You will be placed on hold and the called party will hear a warning beep indicating that there is a call waiting.

The called party can hang up which will cause their extension to ring or they can ask the person that they are talking to to wait and press Recall *1. The called party can switch between calls by pressing Recall *1(or Flash *1 on the older NEC phones).
Place Call on Hold
To place a call on hold:

During a call, advise the caller that you are going to place the call on hold.

Press Recall (or Flash on the older NEC phones) to receive a dial tone.

Press * 9.
-
Your caller will now be on hold.
To return to your caller:

Press * 1.
Note: The caller can remain on hold for up to 75 seconds, after that time your extension will ring back.
