Quota
Lab bookings for internet access during class sessions should use normal Quota access. The USQ allocates 30Mb of internet quota on Monday and Friday for each student for academic purposes. It is each student's responsibility to use their internet access wisely and to ensure they have sufficient quota available for class sessions.
If a student exceeds their quota during scheduled class time, the Academic staff member conducting the class may be able to obtain authorisation for a 'spot' increase by contacting the ICT Service Desk. This 'spot' increase may or may not be granted, at the discretion of the Service Desk.
Open
This is only available for special purposes: eg conferences, PCAP or other sessions where the participants would not have a USQ logon. Faculty approved requests for open access will need to be submitted to the ICT Service Desk Manager in the first instance and final approval will be at the discretion of the Chief Technology Officer, Division of ICT Services.
If you have any further queries please contact the ICT Service Desk.
