Tips for Computer Use

Some courses require specific computing requirements. Please contact your relevant Faculty for advice.

Practise safe computing.  Keep your software up-to-date with the latest patches to avoid infection by viruses, worms or Trojans.

  • For Windows-based computers, apply all critical patches by going to the Windows Update Service, normally accessible from within your browser.
  • Consider anti-virus protection.
