Using Wireless
A wireless local area network (WLAN) has been implemented by the Division of ICT Services within the Toowoomba, Fraser Coast and Springfield campuses.
The wireless network is available to staff and students and offers wireless data connections at speeds up to 54Mbps. Users in all administrative, academic and key outdoor areas located around the main campus/centre areas can enjoy wireless networking with the 2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11b/g and 5 GHz, IEEE 802.11. A wireless user's portable computer can connect to the University network using radio frequency signals. The table below shows IEEE's Wireless standards and support provided by USQ for these standards.
