Overseas Student Health Cover

If you choose to study in Australia at USQ, you will need to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). This is health insurance that provides cover for the costs associated with out of and in hospital medical treatment, pharmaceuticals and emergency ambulance assistance and transport. The Department of Immigration and Border Protection require all holders of a student visa to maintain OSHC during their entire stay in Australia. USQ's preferred OSHC provider is Allianz Global Assistance.

Your OSHC membership is initiated by USQ when you return your acceptance of offer form with payment of:

  • your first semester tuition fees (as a minimum)
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the length of your student visa.

You will receive additional information about your Allianz Global Assistance OSHC membership during Orientation at USQ.
