What have you enjoyed most about your USQ experience so far?

The best part of my exchange experience has definitely been meeting new people, both Australians and other international students. They have made this time at USQ a memory that I will never forget.

What are the best things about your course?

The best thing about the exchange is that I could choose units that aren’t on offer in my home university. This way a get something unique into my degree which will be a good advantage in the employment market later on. I also like the possibility to stay and travel a bit after studies.

How is the relationship between you and your staff?

Staff are very friendly and I really appreciate the way they take into account the foreign student in the classroom. I got the feeling that whenever I needed help or had questions, they were more than happy to help.

Where do you live?

I live in McGregor College, which is the biggest residential college at the USQ campus. I like the location (2 minutes to uni) but most of all I like the fellow residents. The college is almost like its own little community where you can always find someone to hang out with and there are also some events organised every now and then. The campus is a lively place and the facilities are excellent.

Has studying at USQ helped you achieve your goals?

My goal is to become a language teacher and my time at USQ has helped me a lot to improve my English. Studying at USQ has also improved my academic skills and given me a lot of confidence for whatever I might do in the future. It has given me some valuable experiences and a chance to personal development and growth.
