Pathways for international students
At USQ we understand that you may have come to us via other Universities, TAFEs or private providers and even one or two employers. We know that your skills and knowledge come not only through study, but also through practice and on the job learning. So that’s why we take into account both prior study and work experience when you apply for a program.
If you come to us via any of the above situations you may be eligible for credit for previous study. Credit, exemptions or recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a way for you to reduce the number of courses (subjects) you need to study to finish your particular program.
For example, if you have more than 5 years experience in your field, you may be eligible to commence your postgraduate study (such as Postgraduate Diploma in Business) without completing an undergraduate degree such as a Diploma of Business.
You may also gain up to 8 credits toward your undergraduate (first) degree depending on your experience and your program choice.
