Conditions of service

Please read our conditions of service, if you are considering using our pick-up from the airport to our USQ campuses.

Conditions for new international students

  1. A completed booking form must be submitted online or by email to, at least 3 days before travellers are scheduled to arrive in Australia.
    Please note: Service cannot be guaranteed by USQ if bookings are not received 3 days before arrival in Australia. Temporary accommodation will be booked automatically on your behalf with USQ's Residential Colleges if you have not nominated an accommodation provider.
  2. Students and travellers using the Airport Reception and Transfer service, agree to allowing the University of Southern Queensland to share personal information provided on the booking forms, with transport providers and temporary accommodation providers (where necessary), in order to provide this service.
  3. Confirmation of booking and essential arrival information will be emailed within 48 hours of receiving your request.
  4. Transfer services offered will be scheduled by transport providers used by the University of Southern Queensland.
  5. Luggage limits apply. Students and travellers are permitted a maximum of 2 x 90cm suitcases (maximum of 20kg each) and 1 small cabin bag.
    Please note: You must be able to carry your own luggage. Luggage in excess of this limit is your responsibility. Excess luggage may not be able to be transported at the time of your transfer to a USQ campus. If you plan to bring a lot to Australia, consider getting it sent to you via cargo / courier, after you have arrived. USQ does not pay for excess baggage so all costs will be at your own expense.
  6. USQ will not be liable to reimburse students or other travellers for transport fees incurred where USQ's service has not been booked. If you wish to organise your own transport do not take a taxi cab from the airport to the University as this is a very expensive form of travel.

Conditions for fee for service

International students who have studied in Queensland or Australia previously, chaperones, family members and friends travelling with students, are able to use the airport reception and transfer service, but will be charged a fee for this service.

In addition to the above conditions please note:

  1. Payment of the scheduled fee needs to be made at the time of booking.
  2. Refunds: No refund is available to travellers who have not provided at least 24 hours notice of a change in their arrival time, day or date by emailing or by phone +61 412646023, and/or failed to meet the transport provider at the designated place and time.
