Open Access College

Open Access College provides English and pathway programs to equip you with the language or academic skills needed to be successful in your degree studies.

Our English Program study options include:

• English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students - are offered throughout the year and are designed to develop your English language skills for university study. This course has 5 levels of English study and each level may be completed in 10 teaching weeks.

• English for Academic Purposes - is designed to prepare students from non-English speaking backgrounds, for study in our undergraduate or postgraduate courses. EAP is offered at two levels EAP 1 and EAP 2, and is a 10 week program. On successful completion of EAP 2, you can gain direct entry into one of USQ’s degree programs.
  
  
• English for Academic Purposes Online Program - is designed to prepare International students and students from non-English speaking backgrounds for university education. Upon successful completion of this program you will be able to gain entry to USQ undergraduate or postgraduate programs by either continuing your studies online or on-campus.

If you have already gained entry into a undergraduate or postgraduate degree at USQ, you have the option of studying:

• Introductory Academic Preparation - is a 72 hour program designed for international students, who will be undertaking on-campus study at USQ to help prepare for the university culture.

These programs are also available to Australian Citizens and permanent residents with non-English speaking backgrounds. For more information please email the Open Access College.

USQ also provides customized programs designed to meet the needs of different organizations, such as university, government, professional groups, teachers or student groups from non-English speaking backgrounds. This includes our:

• Study Tour - English Language, Culture and Training Program - provides you with the skills for communicating successfully in English, in your area of study. Programs can incorporate a wide range of activities including site visits, lectures and excursions.
