Study Tours

USQ offers English Language, Culture and Training Programs/Study Tours (ELCP) for overseas students throughout the year. The study tours include English language classes and a choice of extracurricular activities.

Our study tours have the flexibility to offer programs specifically designed to meet the requirements of many different organisations such as government, professional groups or student groups from non-English speaking backgrounds.

What does this program include?

Our specialised programs include:

  • Australian cultural studies
  • English language and Australian community life
  • Business education
  • English through art and literature
  • Nursing experience
  • Agricultural administration and management
  • TESOL

Some other activities that can be included are:

  • Trips to the Gold Coast or Sydney
  • Farmstay Visit
  • Aboriginal Culture activities, and 
  • Sports activities.

Why should I take a USQ Study Tour?

If you choose to undertake a USQ Study Tour you will:  

  • study English in a native-speaker environment and experience the Australian way of life
  • experience the USQ campuses hat offer a safe and friendly environment, close to main attractions such as the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
  • have a USQ staff member on call 24 hours a day, to help you while you are on-campus, and 
  • experience staying with a homestay family.

What is the cost?

Costs will vary depending upon what the program includes and the number of students. Costs are designed to include all transport, accommodation, meals and tuition costs. However, personal spending money, insurance and travel to Australia are not included in the program price.

Who will arrange my accommodation?

Our Accommodation Officer will arrange either Homestay, dormitory or apartment accommodation. Homestay accommodation offers students the experience of living as a member of an Australian family and immersion in the English language.
