Vocational Education and Training (VET)

We know that your skills and knowledge come not only through study, but also through practice and on-the-job learning. So that’s why we take into account both prior study and work experience when you apply for a program.

If you come to us via any of the above situations you may be eligible for credit for previous study. Credit, exemptions or recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a way for you to reduce the number of courses (subjects) you need to study to finish your particular program.

For example, you can complete a Diploma in Engineering through one of our recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers before entering into the Bachelor of Engineering and earning as many as 8 credits towards your degree at USQ.
