Why should I study with USQ?

If you choose to undertake the Study Abroad and Exchange program you will:

  • gain international experience and intercultural competencies, improving your graduate skills
  • choose to study for one or two semesters and receive credit for study you complete at USQ, when you return to your home university
  • have the opportunity to learn about the Australian lifestyle and culture without interrupting your studies or career path.
  • be immersed in a rich multicultural environment, studying alongside Australian students and other international students. Over 100 different nationalities make up USQ's student community!
  • benefit from our low student to lecturer ratio, meaning smaller on campus class sizes with more personal attention from lecturers and tutors. There is also lots of academic and personal support available to students.

What is the difference between Study Abroad and Exchange?

Study Abroad students can enrol at USQ directly through USQ or through a Study Abroad Partner. If you are a study abroad student, you:

  • do receive credit for studies at USQ at your home university, and
  • do pay tuition fees directly to USQ for your semester abroad.

Study exchange is available to students who are currently studying with a USQ Exchange Partner Universities. If you are an exchange student:

  • remain enrolled at your home university while attending USQ
  • do receive credit for your studies at USQ at your home university
  • pay tuition fees to your home university, not USQ.
