Arrival and Orientation

International students must attend Orientation which generally begins two weeks before each semester start date. You should arrive the day before Orientation begins to ensure you are fully prepared to commence your studies.

ELICOS students should arrive at least a week prior to course start date to get acquainted with the University and to organise your accommodation.

UNIPREP students are should arrive at least the day before course start date to ensure you are able to attend classes from 9:00am on first day.

Late arrivals

If unforeseen circumstances prevent you from arriving before the required start date you will require written approval from the University to commence your studies or you may need to defer your studies. You should contact ioacceptoffer@usq.edu.au before leaving your country of origin to confirm your offer will still be valid.

Temporary accommodation

If you have not secured permanent/long term accommodation before arriving in Australia we strongly recommend you arrive up to one week before Orientation commences. This will help you to ensure suitable accommodation can be secured before the start of the semester.
