Pre-departure checklist

As you prepare to depart for USQ in Australia, you should check to ensure the following has occurred:

What needs to be done

 

You have accepted USQ's Letter of Offer and forwarded payment for tuition and OSHC fees. 

 

USQ has issued you with an eCoe/s (electronic confirmation of enrolment), confirming your contract of study with USQ.

 

You have submitted the eCoe, along with a checklist of documents and a Student Visa application to DIAC.

Students from Assessment Level 3 & 4 countries are eligible to apply for a Pre-Visa assessment.

 

DIAC has informed you that you have been granted a Student Visa.

  • If granted, please proceed to Step 5.
  • If not granted, please advise USQ arrivals staff of your inability to travel due to visa refusal. 

 

You have booked your accommodation in Australia. 

 

You have booked your travel to Australia.  Make sure you arrive in time to attend the international Orientation program.

 

You have booked your airport reception and transfer. Please read the Conditions of service before making your booking.

 

USQ has forward a "Confirmation of Arrival" email to you within 48 hours of receiving your booking. The confirmation of arrival email details the arrangements we have made on your behalf, transport provider details, meeting place and general instructions to make your arrival and transfer problem free.

 

You have contacted USQ arrivals staff should your travel plans change.  You will need to provide your full name, USQ student number and details of your changed travel plans.
  You attend the Orientation program to get connected and have the best possible start to your Australian university experience.

 

You have packed the following documents in a secure area of your carry on lugguage:

  • Letter of offer
  • Confirmation of enrolment (eCoe)
  • Original or certified documents for granting of advanced standing / credit
  • Passport with either a Student Visa label OR your eVisa confirmation email
  • Exit visa from your country (if necessary)
  • Travel documents / itinerary
  • International drivers licence
  • References from accommodation providers (if you have previously rented accommodation) as well as credit references
  • Names, addresses and contact details of your family and friends
  • Medical documents including:
    • Prescription for glasses / contact lens'
    • Prescription for medication taken on a regular basis.
    • Vaccination/s listing
