USQ’s main campus is located in Toowoomba, a picturesque mountain city on the edge of the Great Dividing Range escarpment. The USQ Toowoomba campus has over 4000 students enrolled on-campus and offers three residential colleges spanning its 75.6 hectare landscaped grounds.

With a population of approximately 131,000, Toowoomba is a thriving region offering a diverse economy and the best of urban and regional environments. Offering four distinct seasons, Toowoomba’s climate can best be described as pleasant with temperature ranges averaging a cool 5 – 16 degrees Celsius in winter and a mild 17 – 27 degrees Celsius in summer.

Covering an area of approximately 117 square kilometres, the city is surrounded by more than 240 parks and gardens and 3,600 hectares of open space. In springtime, Toowoomba’s parks and gardens become vibrant and ablaze with colour and life to celebrate the annual Carnival of Flowers.
