Application and selection process
Thank you for your interest in our newly created positions of Executive Dean (Business, Education, Law and Arts) or Executive Dean (Health, Engineering and Sciences).
An executive search is being undertaken by Braithwaite Steiner Pretty Executive Search (BSP), in parallel with the public advertisement of these positions.
Interested candidates are strongly advised to contact the relevant Consultant listed below for a pre-application conversation.
BSP will support the Selection Panel in identifying the widest possible field of best qualified candidates and assist in the assessment of candidates against the requirements for the roles.
Terms of appointment
The University will negotiate appropriate employment packages with the successful candidates. An initial term of appointment of five years subject to renewal by mutual agreement will be offered.
Application requirements
Applications for the role should include the following:
Candidate's statement
A statement of three to four pages presenting your:
- motivation for the role;
- insights into change management and organisational transformation;
- thoughts about where you would lead the Faculty over the next three years; and
- indication of how the Vice-Chancellor and University community will assess your success.
Curriculum Vitae
- Full name, home address, confidential email address, telephone contact details;
- Nationality and citizenship;
- Positions held, dates, scope of responsibilities and key achievements;
- Details of education and qualifications and the dates awarded;
- Any other relevant information, such as involvement in professional and community activities, speaking engagements etc;
- Current salary package and component parts.
Referees
Full contact details of three referees whom the consultant may contact. Referees will be contacted only after prior consultation with the candidate.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the referees you nominate are willing to provide reports when contacted by BSP or the University.
Date of commencement
An indication of the earliest date you would be able to commence in the role.
