Finding Relevant Resources

Library staff would like to make your experience of the Library as simple, convenient and pleasant as possible.

Registering to borrow

For on-campus students, your student card acts as your Library card.  Once you have received your card, take it to the Library Loans Desk in your campus Library in order to register for borrowing.

Off-campus students do not need to register for borrowing, unless they are borrowing in person from one of the campus Libraries. If you do not have a student card, other photo ID will suffice.

Services for off-campus students

The Library provides a loan and photocopy service for off-campus students, as well as research advice and thousands of full-text online resources that you can access from wherever you are, whenever you wish to.

Library tours and classes

Library tours provide you with information regarding the services, resources and facilities provided by the Library. During Orientation week scheduled Library tours are being conducted at the Toowoomba Library.

Library classes on Getting Started with Finding Information and Finding Better Information Online are conducted at the beginning of Semesters 1 and 2. Attending one or two classes will give you the skills you need to effectively search for books, journal articles and other information for your assignments. Please refer to Library classes and tours for more information.

Finding information

eHelp gives you all the information you need to find resources for your studies. It gives you tips on using the Library catalogue, databases and Internet resources. Spending a few minutes reading eHelp will save you hours of research time during your academic program.
