To support students enrolled in statistics, The Learning Centre provides a range of activities associated with mathematics and learning skills these include:
Mathematics 
Success in Maths for Statistics on-campus workshops
Topics include formulas, arithmetic, calculator, basic statistics, graphing. See the workshop program (PDF*120.5kb) Complete the online readiness testing in mathematics (UConnect username and password required) to self assess your knowledge and determine whether you need to attend this workshop.
All workshops are held between 9.30am and 4pm

Success in Maths for Statistics online tutorials

- Arithmetic** - useful keys on the calculator; order of calculation, percentage change, decimals, fractions, ratios, reading tables
- Formula in statistics**- writing relationships in words and as formulas, substituting into formulas, solving equations.
- Graphing** - relationships as graphs, drawing graphs, the linear function, applications in statistics
- Statistics** - organisation and display of data, the analysis of data, calculating summary statistics, data with two variables

A number of one hour workshops are offered (Toowoomba campus only) to assist students in the use of their calculator.

Free online booklets on 'using calculators' are available to all students.
Later in the semester 'Calculator' assistance can be obtained through an individual Mathematics consultation through The Learning Centre at all campuses.
