Success in Chemistry for Nurses Workshop

This two day chemistry workshop is for students who have not completed year 12 chemistry or have very limited of chemistry. The workshop covers:

• atomic structure
• the periodic table
• naming of elements and compounds and their formulae 
• metals and non-metals
• ionic and covalent bonding
• other topics.

If you are unsure if you need to attend this workshop, please complete the online readiness test (*PDF 234 KB) and refer to the answers (*PDF 52 KB) to assess your knowledge. Please do not register for this workshop if you have adequate skills in this area.

Workshop details

How much does it cost?

The cost of the two day workshop is AUD70.00 and includes your materials for the days. Payment for the workshop must be made prior to attending the workshop and can be made:

• in person at the USQ Finance Department
• by mail (please include the workshop name, date and location with this payment)
• by phone.
