Professor Cath Ellis

Cath Ellis took up her post at Huddersfield having moved to the UK from Australia, where she had taught at the University of Wollongong and the University of New England. At Huddersfield she has led two multidisciplinary degrees and taught in English Literature.

She has led a Teaching Quality Enhancement Fund (TQEF) project which has supported and inspired others to experiment with innovative approaches to teaching and learning, as a result of which videoconferences, screencasts and webinars are now used more widely across her school and the University. Cath has led a project on the implementation of a Continuing Professional Development framework and on the implementation of electronic assessment management and has undertaken consultancy work with other institutions to assist them in their own e-submission policies and implementation strategies. Cath was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2010 and is currently leading a JISC grant on Assessment and Feedback.
