Learning and Teaching Support Unit
In the spirit of reconciliation, the University of Southern Queensland recognises that it is situated on country for which the Jarra-wah and Guy-ar-bill people have been custodians for many centuries and on which they have performed age-old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal. We acknowledge their living culture and unique role in the life of this region and offer our deep appreciation for their contribution to, and support of, our academic enterprise.
LTSU would also like to acknowledge the Ugardapul (yard-a-pull) people of Springfield, and the Butchulla (butt-cha-la) people of Fraser Coast, traditional custodians of the lands where each USQ campus is located.
The Learning and Teaching Support Unit (LTSU) provides assistance to students, staff and faculties to enhance the quality of learning, teaching, assessment and programs of study at USQ.
LTSU services for students include orientation, face-to-face and online support to enhance academic learning skills.
Services for staff include the production of web-based resources, professional development programs, teaching summits, communities of practice, induction to tertiary teaching, and ongoing support for curriculum development.
Excellence in teaching is promoted through a visiting scholar program and mentoring programs associated with teaching awards, fellowships and grants.
LTSU ALERT is published online six times a year to connect USQ staff with the latest national and international information about tertiary teaching and learning.
