USQ Faculty Awards
Faculty Awards operate from a standard set of guidelines that is applicable across each of USQ's faculties and aligns with USQ as well as the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) initiatives. Within this framework, each Faculty manages the decision making processes for selection which enables consistency of timelines, stipends, criteria, and panel processes and has an element of support through services within the Learning & Teaching Support Unit.
On the recommendation of the Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee through the Associate Dean (Learning & Teaching), the Dean may award the following:
- Faculty Awards for Teaching Excellence to members of the Faculty who have extensive teaching careers and who have demonstrated excellence in teaching - these awards give recognition to teachers for excellence in their teaching who have made a deep contribution to enhancing the quality of teaching at USQ

Faculty Awards for Teaching Excellence (Early Career) to members of the Faculty who are early career' teachers and who have demonstrated excellence in teaching - these awards give recognition to teachers for excellence in their teaching who are beginning to make a deep contribution to enhancing the quality of teaching at USQ
- Faculty Awards for Programs or Services that Enhance learning to individuals or teams that support learning and teaching that make an outstanding contribution to the quality of student learning and the quality of the student experience in higher education.
Nominations for an Award shall be made in writing and emailed to teachexcel@usq.edu.au not later than 31 July each year.
