Support for your students

Meet-Up is a USQ-developed student peer-assisted learning program that is offered online and on-campus.

Student leaders are selected by lecturers and trained by the Meet-Up Co-ordinator. They work with lecturers to provide students with the opportunity to develop their academic learning skills and their disciplinary understanding in a structured, social learning environment. Leaders are also encouraged to offer study advice based on their own learning experiences.

What do lecturers have to provide?

Meet-Up program in session

  • committment and support for the program
  • timetabled sessions if possible
  • integration into courses including StudyDesk
  • materials/advice for leaders

If you would like Meet-Up to be part of your course please contact Lindy.Kimmins@usq.edu.au

Meet-Up Student Community (MUSC)

The course-based model of Meet-Up has now been extended to more general student support with the development of the Meet-Up Student Community (MUSC), which provides general academic advice, skills and materials to predominantly Distance/Online students. MUSC leaders are also available to chat and offer study advice on Toowoomba and Springfield campuses.
