Effective feedback on assessment
Feedback on assessment should tell students what they did well, what requires improvement, and how to make those improvements - each of these components is equally as important as the other.
Feedback on assessment can be provided by lecturers, tutors, other students, workplace supervisors and students themselves.
How and when feedback is given can have a significant effect on student learning. For example, negative feedback or feedback that arrives too late can discourage students from using it to improve their learning.
