PubMed

PubMed is a freely available version of the Medline database providing abstracts and data and a small collection of fulltext electronic journals. MEDLINE is the U.S. National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the preclinical sciences. PubMed includes the full Medline database from 1966 onwards. It also includes Pre-Medline, a collection of very recent articles not yet included in the main database, as well as a number of articles available in the fulltext journals which were not selected for the Medline database. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts.
