Hi, I'm Ron from the Library, and I'm here to assist with your success at the USQ.

Just like these students, you'll need information for your assignments, and you'll want to make the most effective use of your time and effort.

The USQ Library is a key resource for information relevant to your studies, and staff are on hand to help you get started.

Don't become a stranger - if you're on campus, drop in for a visit, tell us what you're studying, and we can guide you to the best resources for your study.

And, if you're studying Externally, give us a call,  use the 1800 number if you're calling from within Australia, or contact us by email.

In fact, where-ever you are studying, or however you are enrolled, you can visit the Library online, anytime.

You can search for books, texts and readings,  you can explore databases to find up-to-date articles, and you can access a whole lot more that our Library has to offer.

But - If you're feeling a bit daunted by all this, you're not alone - so much to choose from, but where to start?

Well, remember I said you can ask for help anytime.

And you can help yourself to get started.

I've put together a few short presentations to explain how to find the best resources for your studies, … and to highlight how to access some of the many guides and support services freely available to you – for example how to make an Off-Campus loan request, how to lodge a request for assignment assistance online, or how to accurately reference the resources you use in your assignments.

Invest a little time now, familiarise  yourself with the USQ learning environment, and you'll find you save yourself time in the long run. Developing research skills is an ongoing process, as you develop your skills, and improve the quality of information you're using, you can expect to find that your confidence will improve as well, not to mention your results.

So remember, ask for help if you need it, and most of all - enjoy your learning journey.
