FirstSearch into EndNote

  1. Ensure that you are exporting Marked Records and that you have selected Export to EndNote
  2. EndNote will open – select your EndNote Library
  3. The Filter Manager will open – Choose the filter that matches the database you have searched. Filters for most First Search databases are part of the EndNote package and they should have (OCLC) behind the database name.
  4. If there is no filter, go to the EndNote Support Filters page at http://www.endnote.com/support/enfilters.asp where one should be available for download.

The records will appear in a new EndNote window. Now is a good time to check the records and to add your own information before including these records in your working library. One problem noticed is that the Author Affiliations or addresses are imported into the Author Field. To view all records in your library go to References/ Show All References
