Creating Links to Online ResourcesFailure to create links to online resources in the correct way can result in user frustration when they are not able to access the resources as part of their recommended readings or course material. To enable users to access the Library's online subscriptions from anywhere in the world the Library provides the server software known as EZproxy. This part of the Library website explains what EZproxy is and how it works. There are also step by step instructions in using EZproxy to provide access to some of our electronic resource subscriptions including EBSCOhost MegaFILE Premier, Emerald Insight, eBrary Electronic Books, NetLibrary, Factiva, Taylor And Francis Journals and the Association for Computing Machinery website. While it is not necessary to know how EZproxy works, it is extremely important to understand how to correctly create links to online resources so that external users can gain access to our valuable subscriptions. If you are unsure about how to create a link please contact your Faculty Librarian for assistance. |
