Overdue, lost and damaged material
Overdue items
If material is returned late to the Library you will accumulate points for each day or hour it is overdue. Overdue points accrue at the following rate:

If the total overdue points reaches $20 or more, then your borrowing privileges are stopped and you will be fined. The entire amount must be paid (or a part payment plan approved) bu the payment due date or borrowing privileges will be suspended.
If the total overdue points accrued is $19.50 or less, you do not have to pay any money and can borrow as normal.

Lost and long overdue item charges
Invoices will be issued for lost or long overdue items. The invoice will consist of a replacement cost and a $22 processing fee per item (overdue fines will also apply).

Damaged items
Invoices will be issued for items which are returned damaged. Repair costs will be $22 per item. Replacement costs may be charged for severely damaged items.
Payment of Library Charges
USQ Students
Library Charges will transfer into the University Finance system the day after accrual. To view charges go to the Student Centre in UConnect. Payments can be made:
- online via UConnect
- via Bpay
- at the Finance cashier.
Failure to pay charges by the due date will result in:
- Suspension of Library borrowing privileges
- Withholding of your results and academic transcript
- Ineligibility to graduate
- Implementation of USQ debt collection procedures
Reciprocal Borrowers, Associate Members and Staff
Payments can be made at the Library by cash, cheque, money order, credit card of Eftpos. B-Pay can be arranged; please contact the Library for details.
