Placing requests

The Library provides staff and students with many options to request print books, articles and other materials to assist their study, teaching and research needs.

Off-campus students

Off-Campus students and staff can place requests for loan items to be posted or documents to be delivered as pdf files.

This is done via USQ Library's online loan and photocopy request service DocEx.  Refer to the off-campus support page for more details.

On-campus students

If an item is on loan to another person you can place a request for that item via the Library Catalogue after logging into MyLibrary,  (Fraser Coast students and staff use the Fraser Coast Regional Council Library service catalogue) or alternatively contact the Library

The requested item will be recalled. This means the person who has it on loan may be asked to return the item sooner than the original due date. You will be notified when the item is available for collection.

Please note there are restrictions for requesting items from another campus (see section below for details).

Requesting items from another USQ Campus Library

Fraser Coast and Springfield students and staff can request items from the Toowoomba campus via the Library catalogue, and copies of journal articles or book sections via the DocEx requesting service (see Using DocEx for assistance).

Toowoomba and off-campus students and staff are unable to request from Springfield and Fraser Coast collections.

Please note you cannot request items from the Course Readings collection and other items not available for loan (such as Journals, Reference Material, Theses).

Requesting items from another library or organisation

The Library can obtain books, articles and other documents not held by the USQ Library. This service is primarily for USQ staff and researchers to support teaching and researching programs. Refer to the Interlibrary Loan Service page for more details.
