Pre-Paid Return Postage Bags

In 2011 USQ Library received some Federal Government funding to provide return postage bags to students living in specific postcode areas. Postcode is a government imposed criterion for determining socio-economic profile.  Those students whose postcodes of home location fall within the lowest quartile of the population of a given catchment region (national, state or urban), determined by the value of the ABS Index of Education and Occupation (EdOcc), are regarded as being disadvantaged as a result of their socio-economic status.

If eligible, a pre-paid return postage bag will be included in with your parcel of requested books.

This service is only available to permanent residents or Australian citizens. Limited funding has been provided and once expended, this service can no longer be continued. To find out more, contact Off-Campus Library Services.

Any students outside the designated postcode areas who feel they are unfairly disadvantaged should contact the USQ Student Equity Office.
