Learning and teaching technologies
As well as being the 'production house' for the design, development, production, and distribution of USQ study materials, LRDS provides a range of services to specifically meet the needs of academic staff involved in teaching and learning activities across the University.
LRD also provides services to support staff across the University who are involved in the use of technologies including:
-
-
learning management systems such as Moodle
The University has developed policies, processes and timelines to ensure that study materials are produced and delivered on time each semester.
LRDS has an effective course development process where faculty staff work closely with educational and technical specialists to create and maintain quality study materials for USQ students.
As new technologies emerge and alternative methods of delivery evolve, other processes enable the timely updating and modification of study packages. LRDS staff are leading the way in the use of XML and content repositories through the ICE system (Integrated Content Environment).
LRDS offers regular briefing sessions for USQ staff.
LRDS seeks regular feedback from faculties about the services it provides including the effectiveness of its current systems. The data is collected, analysed and considered in future planning by LRDS Management.
