Important Dates
The 2009 Summer School will begin on Wednesday 7 January and conclude on Saturday 17 January.
The closing date for enrolment is 5 December 2008. Enrolment prior to 5 December is highly recommended to enable organisers to determine the viability of the classes.
Late Enrolments
Late enrolments may be accepted at any time up to the commencement of the School if vacancies exist. Please be aware if you do enrol late some classes may have been cancelled or filled.
Tentative Bookings
Tentative bookings via phone or email for classes and/or accommodation will be held for a maximum of two weeks, or one week if bookings are tight. No tentative bookings will be accepted after the closing date of 5 December.
Material Requirements
On enrolment you will be advised of materials etc. you will need to bring with you. Please note that some classes have an earlier closing date for equipment to be ordered from the tutor, they are:
- Textile Classes: requests for use of a Bernina Sewing Machine* deadline 21 November 2008
An approximation of the material cost is given for each class but please note that some costs are difficult to assess. Students enrolling in Intermediate to Advanced level classes would usually have most of the equipment etc. needed and would only need purchase minimal amounts. Material kits (when available) are to be purchased from the tutor at the School.
* Berninas Students enrolled in Textile classes who are unable to supply a sewing machine may hire a Bernina for the duration of the course at a cost of $44.00.
Welcome Address
All students are asked to be in the Allison Dickson Theatre by 8.30 am for a Welcome Address and Orientation for the 41st McGregor Summer School on the first day of the School.
Class Times

Wednesday 7 January to Saturday 10 January, classes begin at 8.30am and finish at 4.00pm daily.

Sunday 11 January, free time.

Monday 12 January to Friday 16 January, classes begin at 8.30am and finish at 4.00pm daily.

Saturday 17 January, classes begin 8.30am and finish at 12 noon followed by the Student's Exhibition which finishes at 4pm.
Students Exhibition
Saturday,17 January 2009. The Students’ Exhibition is held mainly in the Refectory and the Mall of the Refectory commencing at approximately 12 noon . This gives students from other classes, students’ families and the public a chance to see everyone’s work. If students prefer to keep working in their studios they are free to do so.
