Carolyn Delzoppo from Mullumbimby
Carolyn Delzoppo is an internationally renowned specialist in the technique of cloisonne enamel. She has received many awards for her work both in Australia and internationally, including in Japan, US and Spain. She regularly exhibits her cloisonne, miniatures and jewellery, most recently in a solo exhibition Melbourne 2009. Her work is represented in many public and private collections. She has been invited to conduct workshops for members of the US Enamellist Society and for the German Enamel Guild. In 1990 she was invited to participate in an international Enamel Symposium in the Soviet Union. This is her twelfth McGregor Summer School workshop.
Class Synopsis
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to make several beautiful silver and cloisonne enamel jewellery pieces.
Participants will receive tuition in all stages of cloisonne enamelling on fine silver, including design with line and colour, preparation of metal, preparation and wet-laying of enamel, firing, and finishing techniques. Use of foils, underglazes and drawing techniques are also covered.
The workshop is suited to both the beginner and experienced enameller. Those with jewellery soldering skills will also have the opportunity to learn the champleve technique.

Materials
A kit of a small quantity of each of 10 enamel colours - $20.00 (Other colours can be purchased as needed). Other costs are difficult to estimate but should not exceed $60.00 for enamels and $200.00 for tools etc. A materials list will be sent on enrolment or you can you can request a copy for your perusal.
