Performing Arts

In 2012 the McGregor Summer School music students had an exicting and busy ten days full of excellent music making. 

As a McGregor Summer School music student you have the opportunity to -

  • participate in many of the major ensembles
  • access to private individual lessons
  • group tutorials
  • one-on one lessons and master classes for your instrument/voice type
  • public performances

Entry level  - 

  • AMEB grade 4 standard or higher and for Piano AMEB grade 6
  • ability to read music competently
  • reasonable fluency on your chosen instrument
  • ages 11 and over are encouraged to enrol

Vocal and Music Theatre students

  • able to sing with confidence
  • auditioning process will apply to ascertain appropriate material for individual voices

The Co-Directors of the music program are Alan Smith and Shaun Dorney, who have over twenty years between them of organising this component of the School.
