Course Synopsis
Learn the basic tool kit of music, including:
• How to play scales on the ukulele (the easiest instrument to learn and currently the most popular), then sing them.
• How chords are made, how to play them and how they work in songs.
• How to sing harmonies based on Do, Mi and So (first, third and fifth notes of the major scale). It’s easy and fun!
• How to strum and fingerpick, play simple folk, blues and popular songs and eventually play and sing together in a folkloric orchestra….a ukulele choir.
Take these skills home with you for a lifetime of musical enjoyment. We’ll make a recording of our work that will be a CD you can take home.
