Warwick Tyrrell from Sydney
Warwick is one of Australia's most accomplished musicians. He was Principal Trombonist of the London Philharmonic Orchestra for three years and outright winner of the 1988 International Trombone Competition. He has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Queensland and Tasmanian Orchestras, the LPO, BBC, Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music. Warwick is the current Music Director of the Bankstown Carols, which attracts an annual audience of 10,000 and the Sutherland Shire Brass, a highly accomplished group of brass musicians. He was recently awarded a conducting fellowship with the Queensland Orchestra by Symphony Australia.
